This Privacy Policy explains how DeckBid Express ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information through the DeckBid Express platform (the "Service"). It applies both to the businesses that subscribe to the Service ("you," "your company") and, where relevant, to the clients and contractors your company enters into the Service.

1. Information We Collect

Business data you enter	Client names, addresses, phone numbers, emails, notes, photos, and documents; contractor/vendor contact and insurance information; material and labor pricing; estimates, proposals, and e-signatures.
Billing information	Subscription plan and billing history. Full payment card details are collected and stored directly by Stripe, our payment processor — we never see or store your card number.
Usage & device information	Basic technical information such as browser type and access times, used for security and troubleshooting.

2. How We Use Information

• To provide, maintain, and secure the Service, including generating your proposals and processing e-signatures.
• To process subscription payments and manage your account.
• To communicate with you about your account, billing, or changes to the Service.
• To provide customer support and respond to your requests.
• To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or security issues.

We do not sell your information, or the information you collect about your clients, to third parties, and we do not use it for advertising.

3. Who We Share Information With

We share information only as needed to operate the Service, with the following service providers, each bound to protect it:

• Stripe — payment processing and subscription billing.
• Supabase — database hosting, authentication, and file storage for Your Data.
• Netlify — hosting for the application itself.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of DeckBid Express, our customers, or others.

4. Data Security

Data is stored with our infrastructure providers using industry-standard security practices, including encryption in transit and access controls that restrict each company's data to that company's own authorized users. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

5. Data Retention

We retain Your Data for as long as your account is active, so the Service continues to function correctly. If you cancel your subscription, we retain Your Data for a reasonable period afterward in case you wish to export or reactivate it, after which it may be deleted. You can request earlier deletion by contacting us.

6. Your Choices & Rights

• You can access, update, or correct your account and business data directly within the Service at any time.
• The Service's Backup feature lets you export your company's data.
• You may request that we delete your account and associated data by contacting us at the email below, subject to reasonable retention needs (such as billing records required by law).

7. Clients & Contractors of Our Customers

If your company enters information about your own clients or contractors into the Service, you are responsible for having a lawful basis to do so and for honoring any requests from those individuals regarding their information. We process that information on your behalf, as your data processor, solely to provide the Service to you.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is a business tool intended for use by adults operating a construction or deck business. It is not directed to, and we do not knowingly collect information from, children.

9. Cookies & Local Storage

We use only the cookies and browser storage necessary to keep you signed in and remember basic preferences. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll post the updated version here with a new "Last updated" date.
